Steps To Membership
1. Complete our Membership Application
2. Review our Standards of Excellence (STEX) Handbook and
view a video about the STEX test
3. PAWS will contact you for a phone intake interview (within a week of receipt of your Membership Application)
4. PAWS will email you Orientation paperwork with instructions to return to the office prior to orientation session.
5. You will receive an invitation to attend an Orientation Session (See Orientation/Training Calendar)*
6. You will receive an invitation to attend a Training Session (See Orientation/Training Calendar)*
7. After achieving STEX certification, attend your first pet-therapy visit accompanied by a Site Orientation Specialist.
8. All dogs are required to be up to date on rabies, distemper and Bordetella vaccinations unless a vet note recommending exception is provided. Cats are required to be up to date on rabies vaccination.
