I always make a point to see "Ned", a sweet, gentle soul who adores Stella. She bounds over as soon as she sees him, and he gives her rubdowns, massages, solicits kisses on his face (the more the better), and tells her that he loves her. On one visit, he said he thought it was his old dog coming to see him, and just marveled at how much she looks like the dog he had.
