Finley and I often bring my older son to visit with us. During a summer visit we met a nice woman who had a bird feeder outside of her window. We recently got a finch feeder at home, and when my son noticed the birds he talked all about the birds that we see. My son and the woman spent several minutes chatting about the different kinds of birds that visit the feeders, what kind of food attracts bird varieties, and commenting on the bird food frenzy that we were witnessing.
The sweet woman sat and petted Finley while they talked. I am not sure why I was so struck by what was happening, but watching the two of them connect and share with each other was a moment that brought ME joy! – Kyla DeStefano (Abbey Manor Assisted Living)
