The Coordinator of Community Engagement is a well-organized multi-tasker who builds relationships and partnerships and is able to delegate and empower team members while keeping control of the many balls in the air. This position has responsibility for outreach functions including volunteer recruitment, community partnerships, and event management and planning. The position will be responsible for developing a plan to accomplish more intentional community awareness and engagement, as well as executing that plan.

Duties:

  • Develop and drive a strategic plan for community engagement, raising awareness about the organization and development of engagement pathways for individuals and organizations.
  • Responsible for implementation and coordination of all special events.
  • Engage community members through participation in community events as well as attendance at PAWS-run events.
  • Identify engagement opportunities; build community relationships and serve as the primary liaison in maintaining these relationships between PAWS for People and community partners.
  • Interact with relevant stakeholders, coalitions, and community organizations that have a direct connection to PAWS for People and our service population.
  • Build social capital by fostering person-to-person and people-to-place relationships.
  • Lead planning for PAWS-sponsored events through engagement of PAWS volunteers and committee members.
