PAWS for People is excited to host our fourth year of Doodles in Dewey! This event began in 2005 (The same year as PAWS for People) and it has steadily grown each year. Last year’s event had over 1,000 people and 600 doodles registered and raised over $38,000. The gathering of doodles of all kinds and their families was joyful sight and we can’t wait so see everyone again and welcome new friends in 2025!
The Event is Rain or Shine – Just in case we get some sprinkles, we have updated the list of dog friendly restaurants with information about which restaurants have covered porches/patios.
2025 Event Dates – April 25-27
Friday Night – April 25th
Doodle Costume Parade on the Rehoboth Board Walk
Registration Opens at 4:30 PM in front of the Rehoboth Bandstand
We will gather at the end of Rehoboth Avenue and begin the parade at 5:30 PM
The registration table will remain open until 6:30 PM for anyone who would like to check-in for the weekend

Doodle Romp on Dewey Beach – McKinley Street
10:00 AM – 2:00 PM – a fun time on the beach together – PAW Draw ticket auction, PAWS shop, and vendors

PAWS for People is a nonprofit organization committed to providing therapeutic visits to any person in the community who would benefit from interaction with a well-trained, loving pet. The anxiety and isolation brought by the Covid pandemic created a need for pet therapy that is greater than ever before. From hospitals and skilled care facilities to chemical dependency centers and schools, thousands of people are experiencing the hope and healing of one-on-one pet therapy visits thanks to hundreds of dedicated volunteers and their loving therapy companions. 2025 Doodles T-Shirts Info
This year’s event t-shirt will be available for pre-order (Deadline March 14th) at a discounted price of $25 and a limited number will be available to purchase on the day of the event for $30. The shirts are short sleeve jade colored 100% cotton shirts available in sizes S-3X. The t-shirt front is pictured here, the back will have a larger version of this logo and event sponsor logos.
Shirts will be available for pick up at the Friday night Doodle Parade in Rehoboth Beach or the Saturday Doodle Romp on Dewey Beach. Shirts can be shipped after the event for an additional fee.
