The autism camp at the ELC this Summer was exceptional. Lacey was able to work with 3 young boys, ages 10, 11 & 12.
One boy wouldn't touch her treats or her, on the first visit, but by the end of the camp he was feeding her treats, hugging her and telling her that he loved her!!
Another wouldn't touch her or give her the treats, but did finally touch her back and tail, made her a birthday card and gave her a PetSmart gift card.
The last boy bonded with her tremendously! He would get down and give her kisses and hugs and she even rolled on her back, totally submissive, for him. She bonded with him fantastically!! He brought her homemade treats that he helped his Mom bake! It was a wonderful experience!! –Julie Miller (University of Delaware – ELC)
